Carolyn Bourdeaux, associate director of the Fiscal Research Center, was interviewed by the Atlanta-Journal-Constitution regarding redevelopment of the old GM site in Doraville.
Specifically, Bourdeaux commented on the possibility of tax breaks for the site’s redevelopment in the event that DeKalb County school system does not want to participate in a tax allocation district to finance the project.
“Yes, they can do that without the school district’s approval,” Bourdeaux was quoted as saying. “They could do that and cut right through the different tax digests.”
