With an $11 billion surplus, Georgia’s 2025 legislative session began this month with top issues expected to revolve around relief for Hurricane Helene damage as well as tax rebates. Governor Brian Kemp’s proposed tax rebate would return $250 for single Georgians, $375 for single heads of households, and $500 for married couples filing jointly.
