Kshitiz Shrestha
Senior Research Associate- Biography
Kshitiz Shrestha is a senior research associate at the Public Finance Research Cluster in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia State University. His primary research interests are public economics and labor economics with a focus on local public finance, fiscal and political decentralization, corruption, climate change and labor migration. He earned his PhD from Georgia State University in 2022. His dissertation focuses on the impact of fiscal and political decentralization on corruption and climate change using quasi-experimental methods to identify causality. He completed his bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting in 2013 from Nicholls State University and his master’s degree in 2016 from University of North Texas.
